Glad to see you yesterday.. it was a super meaningful and touching evening that left everyone with sore eyes. Your item with the 881 cast were wonderful. It may be just a small umbrella, but to SiChuan people, it meant hope and love.. with donations and love coming in from all over the world like Singapore.
For those who haven’t write on the board on Paragon, go there and show your love!
Last night event is really touching…. after seeing the show I’m just too touch… hope they get our donation ASAP to get the necessary things for their economy. Wish all those people in Sichuan to be brave and move on with their lives……. They are the bravest!!
Sunday’s charity show was very successful! I cried a few times during the show. So sad to see those clips of the earthquake victims..seeing them crying, holding the hands of their loved ones etc..is really heart-wrenching.
To date, the charity show have already raised over $9m if im not wrong. Really very touched that so many sporeans, individuals & organisations have lent a helping hand.
Hope that the donations will carry on after the charity show. The more donations, the better…Hope the funds will reach Sichuan people quickly to help them cope with their current situation.
Charity donations come from within your heart & are made voluntarily. It’s a show of love to the less fortunate & shouldn’t be measured in monetary terms.
Some celebrities like jet li & andy lau are being slammed for donating too little money to the earthquake relief. Celebrities are like two sides of a coin. When something big happens, the public expect them to step forward to help. Yet, when celebs do show their support, sometimes they are being criticized for doing not enough. Just because they are celebs, people expect them to contribute even more than civilians. But let not forget celebrities are human too. There’s a limit to how much they can do. As long as they do help out, I think that’s good enough.
If you give less, it doesn’t mean that your love is less than others who give much more. This is what I feel…
